I can't tell you how many times I have had mushrooms in a restaurant and left them there because of how terrible they tasted.But let me tell you about these mushrooms I had and thought I was having honey glazed meatballs.The flavours literally exploded in my mouth and I could feel myself touch the Jesus' toes and shake angel Gabriel's hand....LITERALLY...Here is the catch though..no honey was used to make them.Add some tamarind sauce,mango chutney or pickled mango according to your preference.
This chef surely took time whilst preparing this meal and he truly knows his recipes.I know you too want in on the secret.Well its Indian,its stylish,classy and the best part is you get to watch as they prepare your food.
Am talking about Bhandini Indian restaurant at the Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi.I know you have heard about Nairobi Restaurant Week commonly known as NRW and of course its part of it...AGAIN!!!I kid you not when I tell you that they deserve this award this year again.
You have got to try the food which is out of this world..I had the privilege of enjoying NRW menu and i must say....bring your palettes for a tease and you shan't be disappointed dear brethren.
The ambience of the place is just amazing,the lights on the walls ensure comfortability-not too bright neither dark.They have coat hangers too to help you indulge in the cuisine without restrictions.
I mean what is there not to like about this restaurant.The cutlery and table setting is just exquisite.
And of course the staff are well endowed with information on everything and anything you need to know about the food plus the chef comes to mingle with the guests.How cool is that?
You have to try the Mango Lassi when you visit this restaurant.It sounds very fancy don't you think?Well hold on to your wig because am gonna tell you what it contains:Mango saffron and yoghurt.It is the bomb.com and very filling too.So I highly advice you have it after a meal.Of course if you are a wine lover then you shan't be disappointed.Red,white,rosé sparkling...they got you covered.
Food is kept warm all through your meal but please note it does not get overcooked.Now tell me if that is not taking care of your Guests expectations.
The level of cleanliness in this hotel is nothing to be shy about.The space and room dividers give you privacy to enjoy your meal and have a conversation easily whilst soothing music plays in the background.
The decor is just breathtaking and simply relaxing.Call it your home away from home.
